Art and Craft Fair

The end of September brought with it the opportunity to attend a local community craft fair. This was definitely a new experience, especially with preparing the pastel paintings for display. Hurricane Helene went well North and West of us, but the wind as the system moved out was still very persistent. Fortunately, I decided to change hanging systems for the artwork I wanted to display. I went with a picture rail type hanging method. Using gallery wire, curtain hooks, zip-ties, and binder clips I create hanging areas that withstood the strong breezes quiet well. While the artwork did not necessarily stay in the straight rows I hung it in, it did stay up. With my old method, artwork would have flown all over the place. It was a good turnout for the show, I managed to sell a few things, and learned a few things as well, so it was good day.
