Pastel Prints and Competition
The month of October has seemed exceptionally busy compared to times past.
This past month, I have added two new soft pastel paintings. Sunrise Over Island Park and Park’s Garden Pond are new 8 x 8 offerings for prints. I also have an older work, Pastel Abstract 1, that’s been hanging around. I finally got it converted over for prints as well. Currently, the offered prints are open edition. Limited Edition are available upon request. I also have the originals still available as well too.
This past week I received notification that I have been juried into the Pastel Society of America as an Associate Member. This has been something I have been working on for a while. I started looking at the possibility of joining a year or more ago. They have a limited number of time each year that they will jury people in, so I finally got work together to submit.
I also have submitted, What Must the Wildlife think, to the ArtFields show in Lake City, SC. This is a growing event that attracts artist from all over the Southeast. It will be December before I know if my work is accepted. There are usually over 1,000 submissions for 400 artwork locations, so competition is tight. I will be getting What Must the Wildlife Think setup for prints soon.
As always, Keep the Pastels Soft and the Dust Low. TB
